One of Britain's most remarkable pub settings — the Victorian Grade II listed former first-class refreshment rooms on Platform 1 of Sheffield station, now serving exceptional real ales and craft beers with a working brewery visible through a glass wall. The ornate Edwardian tilework, high ceilings, and original features create an atmosphere where a pint before (or instead of) your train feels entirely civilised. Walk-in only for the main bar, with outdoor seating available on the platform side. The range of well-kept ales is exceptional, including beers brewed on-site by Tapped Brew Co. The combination of extraordinary setting, quality beer, and genuine history makes afternoon drinking here feel like participating in something rather than just getting pints in. Sheffield's most architecturally impressive pub, and it doesn't need to try hard beyond that.
